Analytics, Minus the Creepy Stuff
To see how EmotionApp actually gets used — which features fly, which screens drag — so we can fix the clunky bits and make it better across all available languages. It's never ever used to judge you as an individual, and it definitely never touches the personal content you put into the app.

Real quick, no fine-print games. This is about letting us see how you use EmotionApp — which features get tapped, which screens drag — so we can fix the clunky bits. Totally optional. Say no and nothing breaks; courses, coaching, and skills training work exactly the same. Say yes and you make the app better for whoever comes next.
What we actually see
Signals tied to a random, cookieless code — never your name, email, or login. So: pages you open, features you tap, your device and browser, your chosen language, a rough region (estimated from your network — full IP never stored), plus the unglamorous-but-useful stuff like load times, crashes, and the link that brought you here.
What we never, ever see
Your inner world stays yours. Analytics does not touch:
- your journal entries, notes, and reflections
- anything you share with a coach
- your name, email, phone, or login
- your answers in exercises or skills check-ins
Not a pinky-promise — it's how the plumbing is built. Your feelings are not our dataset.
Why, and for how long
To squash bugs, speed up slow screens, and make the app easier across all 23 languages — never to judge you as an individual. We keep raw usage data for up to 12 months, then delete it or blend it into anonymous stats that can't point back to you.
Where it lives
Your analytics live on our own servers in India — never shipped to any third-party advertising or analytics network, and never leaving the country.
Your call, always
Changed your mind? Switch it off any time in Settings → Privacy — zero effect on your access. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can also ask to see, fix, or delete the analytics data linked to that code, or raise it with our Grievance Officer. Still stuck? Take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
If this ever changes
We don't quietly edit this. New rules mean a new dated version — so there's always a clean record of what you said yes to.
